  • Standard MDF

Standard MDF is constructed consistently throughout the panel which makes it easy to cut, machine or route, simultaneously reducing the burden on your tools. This makes it perfect for furniture making and other creative applications. In addition, its smooth surface allows for a range of options with regards to lamination, veneering, bonding and painting. Standard MDF is suitable for general, non-structural purposes in dry conditions. There is a full range of thicknesses available from 2mm to 50mm and at varying board sizes.

  • Moisture Resistant

Moisture Resistant MDF behaves much the same to Standard MDF in terms of effortless machining and consistent surface quality. Where it differs from the more Standard product is that it is tested to be suitable in humid conditions where it can often be exposed to moisture and occasional wetting. This makes the product ideal for applications where moisture can fluctuate such as in kitchens and bathrooms. Moisture resistant boards are usually (but not always) dyed green for identification purposes.

  • Fire Resistant

Fire Retardant MDF is suitable for use in internal dry conditions for non-structural applications; ideal for applications such as wall linings, partitions, display panels and so on. The product is available in a range of thicknesses with a Euroclass B fore rating in accordance with European Standards. The boards also carry 60-minute (Euroclass B) fire ratings under BS 476: Part 22: 1987 for use as an internal wall partition.

  • Exterior MDF

Medite Exterior MDF which has been proven to withstand extreme conditions following supplementary testing; going above and beyond typical EU requirements for wood-based panel products. The product is identifiable from other MDF products by its grey colour. Medite also recommend sealing and painting all Medite Exterior boards with appropriate products if being used externally.

The panel exhibits outstanding durability & dimensional stability which allow them to be used in applications once limited to products such as concrete, plastics or metals. With the added benefits of light weight, sustainable raw materials and a guarantee of up to 50 years above ground and 25 years in ground. There is a full range of thicknesses available from 4mm to 18mm and at varying board sizes.

  • What is Valchromat Wood

    Valchromat

Valchromat is a wood fibre panel which is coloured throughout and engineered for high physical performance. The fibres are individually impregnated with organic dyes and chemically bonded by specifically developed resins that give the panels their special properties. Manufactured in different colours, dimensions and thicknesses. Also accepts different type of finishing – varnish, oil or wax.

  • MDF Bendy/Flexible

Flexible MDF is a grooved medium density fibreboard that is machined with the sole intention of creating a malleable panel. The product is suitable for general purpose (non-structural), interior applications where bending or deflection is required. Widely recommended to create freestanding curves or fixed to a framework to produce a wide range of smooth curved surfaces.

  • OSB

Oriented Strand Board is a widely used, versatile structural wood panel. Manufactured from waterproof heat-cured adhesives and rectangularly shaped wood strands that are arranged in cross-oriented layers. OSB is an engineered wood panel that shares many of the strength and performance characteristics of plywood.

    External Plywood

External Plywood is characterised by its excellent strength, stiffness and resistance to creep which makes it suitable for wall structures and heavy-duty floors. It has a higher density, strength and biological durability over other species.

  • Plywood Bendy/Flexible

Bendy/Flexible plywood is a high quality bendable sheet material. A lightweight moisture resistant plywood specially produced to cater for all your shapes, curves and bends, which is widely recommended to create freestanding curves or it can be fixed to a framework to produce a range of smooth curved surfaces. Suitable for many applications including columns, counter fronts, wavy walls, ceilings, stage and film sets.

  • Oak

European Oak is one of the most popular wood veneers, versatile and varied in use and appearance. The colour of the heartwood varies from light brown yellow to brown, and the sapwood is a little clearer and is clearly separated. Its fibre is straight and the grain is thick. Indeed, growth rings are visible and they are very marked.

  • Ash

Ash veneer is very decorative due to its colour and texture, and its widely used in decoration of interiors. It is a very expressive and decorative veneer that will provide a strong and unique scope every space or designs you work with. The wood colour is white pearled, that sometimes can become rosy. Its grain texture is severely striped or patterned. Its unprocessed natural colour is of a shining yellowish white.

  • Walnut

This is a sliced veneer and is greyish to brownish-black with well-defined growth pattern. Smooth textured surface which finishes well. Like all Walnut species there is a historical allegiance and a feeling of class associated with it. Widely available in the market today and has become very popular in recent years with the Marine industry.

  • Sapele

Sapele is a member of the mahogany family and like mahogany, this deciduous species grows quite large...up to 150 feet tall. Sapele veneer is very even in colour and grain. Curly and mottled figure Sapele have a wild "razor" pattern that can be a bit mesmerizing. This is a great veneer to complement darker woods like walnut and wenge.

  • Cherry

Sourced from North America, an orange/reddish to a reddish brown in colour. It sometimes contains a black deposit in the grain and also you can find some logs with figure, which when finished look very attractive. It also can have small pin knots which in the character grade can look attractive when trying to replicate old weathered look. When exposed to light it does tend to darken fairly quickly but this often adds to the warm mellowtone of the wood.

  • Maple

Maple veneer is typically a creamy white to a pink tinged light-yellow wood that ages to a deep pale gold colour. Maple is a hardwood that is dense, relatively easy to work with and strong. It has a smooth texture and tight uniform grain. It will accept stains and finishes well but is most often finished with a clear coat that preserves the warmth and accentuates the colour and beauty of the wood’s natural grain.

  • Beech

Beech veneer is a pale pink to a creamy reddish light brown colour. This veneer is also commonly called steamed beech or European beech. It is strong, with a fine silky texture and tight uniform grain. Beech includes small silvery pith rays, giving the wood a slightly lustrous sheen. It accepts stains and finishes well but is often finished with a clear coat to preserve the warmth and natural beauty of the wood.

Plywood, a versatile and durable building material, is created using thin layers of wood veneers bonded together using adhesive. Each layer, or ply, is oriented with its grain running perpendicular to the adjacent layer, enhancing the strength and stability of the final product. This unique construction minimises the chances of warping, cracking, or splitting, making plywood a preferred choice for a multitude of applications.
